Installation

Magnolia runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux.

Download

Download Magnolia from GitHub.

macOS

• Open the .dmg and drag Magnolia into your Applications folder.

Windows

• With admin rights: run the Magnolia-win-x64.exe installer.
• Without admin rights: use the portable build, Magnolia-win-portable-x64.exe. Pop it on a flash drive or something so you can run it from there.

TIP

Windows users may be warned when downloading Magnolia that the app is not downloaded very often. If you experience this, simply open up the Downloads list in Edge, right-click the failed download, and click Keep.

TIP

Windows users on work computers may find it impossible to run Magnolia if your organisation is using "App Control for Business". If you encounter this error when opening Magnolia, the only way around it is to get your IT department to approve Magnolia for use.

Linux

• AppImage: Magnolia-linux-x86_64.AppImage — make it executable and run it.
• Debian / Ubuntu: install the Magnolia-linux-amd64.deb package.
